Known for their original blend of experimental jazz/funk/rock, booty-shaking grooves, dynamic live shows, and a loony version of the Super Mario Brothers Theme Song, ulu was a hard-edged instrumental group out of the NuGroove/Jamband scene from 1996 - 2004.
Based in New York City, ulu' s true home was in downtown Manhattan. But throughout the band's 8 year legacy, they recorded 4 albums and toured the United States relentlessly with various different lineups.
